It's a common request from our clients here at C McConnell Design: converting a picture into a usable vector format. In the example below, I'll visually show you how we converted a picture of a pit bull into a vector illustration for use on a client's website. It's a skill that will come in handy for any freelance designer. This technique takes plenty of time to get right, so you'll want to make sure your client's budget can handle it - the longer you spend on it the better your final result is going to be.
